I was recently on the Navigator for a 7 day cruise with several family members. It was my first time on Royal Caribbean, and I was mostly happy with the experience. The ship is beautiful, much more elegant than the Magic, which is what I have cruised on previously. I spent a lot of time in the spa and solarium. Both are great, but I did miss the Thermal Suite that the Magic has. This was my first time in a balcony room, and I loved it. Our room was very pretty, again more elegant than Carnival. The ship seemed well maintained, kept very clean. The food was great, and the service excellent. There was no shortage of activities.

This may be a small thing, but we only got towel animals 3 nights. Our group was all in the same area and none of the cabins got them more than that. Like I said, I know its a small thing, but I really missed getting a different towel animal each night. I don't know if this is standard for Royal, or if it was just our room steward. Also, I have to say that most of the shows were really bad. I just did not enjoy them, and most of those in our group of 16 didn't like them either. Another small thing is the gifts for winning contests. We won highlighters for a trivia contest. HIGHLIGHTERS. Really Royal, this is all you can spare? Again, it may seem silly, but we really loved our ship on a stick from Carnival. I feel like almost anything would have been better than highlighters.

My list of complaints are minor. I would recommend anyone who is not sure to go ahead and check out Royal Caribbean. I think it really comes down to personal preference, and I can't really say anyting terrible about my experience.

Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D1

Very nice room, lots of storage. It felt spacious and comfortable. The beds are a little hard though.
