We loved our 7 day cruise on the Viking Forseti. We stayed in Bordeaux for a week before the cruise at a wonderful apartment (Wellkhome Apartments, 14 rue Blanc Dutrouilh, Bordeaux) & loved it so much we didn't mind the overlap of Bordeaux featured on the cruise itinerary.

The Forseti was lovely - new, modern, beautifully furnished & comfortable. The included tours were also good but found the bus drivers drove too quickly to really take in the beautiful Chateaux we passed & photography was not possible. However, the tours themselves, with local guides, were very good.

The food was very good & we loved eating lunch on the back deck. The staff were very professional, friendly & helpful. We had the Silver Drinks Package & found it of great value. Loved that we could have a glass of Veuve Cliquot any time we wanted & the wines at lunch & dinner were very good.

Cabin Review

Cabin Veranda A

Lovely cabin, light furnishings, very comfortable bed, very adequate bathroom & we spent time on the veranda watching the French countryside go by. Good toiletries. Very clean & servicing very helpful. My husband needs to drink a lot of water & our request for extra water each day was carried out immediately & throughout the cruise. Proximity card entry into your cabin was great, didn't need to take the card out every time you wanted to use it.
