My husband and I just retired and decided to take this cruise before the ship left Europe for the season. This is the stuff that dreams are made of. We left the port of Civitavecchia on October 6,2014. We had the time of our life. We met so many fantastic people. Unaware of their plans to take this trip, I ran into a coworker and my attorney. I live in Florida. While sitting at the show one evening I discovered that half of my neighborhood was onboard.

The ship is overwhelmingly large. It's very beautiful. I don't feel as if I had enough time on the ship. I thought 11 days would be long but it went by way too fast. We then discovered that the ship would be doing a transatlantic positioning after our cruise. I wish we could have stayed onboard.

Our stateroom was superb. We had a veranda which allowed you to sit on the patio and watch some travel and ports from the room. The crew was extremely accommodating for such a large ship. We purchased the specialty dining package when making our reservations. I'm so glad we did. Fellow passenger spent one night in just one restaurant more than we paid for five nights in the specialty restaurant package. Please make sure that you know what type of beverage package you require. Drinks can be quite expensive without a package.
