Traveled with children

This is our 4th cruise in 2 1/2 years, all with Princess. We sailed on the Sapphire 2 1/2 years ago on the same itinerary. We traveled with our two kids (6 and 9) and another family of 4 with children of same age. While we found a few glitches, I would highly recommend this ship, crew and trip.

Embarkation: Smooth. We arrived early, checked our bags in and took the trolley to downtown San Pedro where we had lunch at the brew pub. When we were ready to board, it took us 45 minutes total to get into our cabin. We promptly went to the pool deck for some swimming.

Cabin: For the first time we had an inside cabin. This was an impromptu trip, and we decided it was more important to get on the ship than get a balcony and we saved a lot of money. It didn't bother me at all but my husband felt a little closed in. I am never in my cabin. What made it great was how centrally located this cabin is compared to all our other cabins. I would always want a mid-ship cabin. The cabin was fine. We had 4 people so any cabin would seem small. The linens on all of the ships are the same. I found my bed very comfortable and was not bothered by any noise. Our cabin steward was very friendly and helpful.
