I was on the 2nd sailing of the NCL Getaway, what a great vacation. I treated the family ie. Parents, girlfriend her son and mom to a week long cruise on the NCL Getaway. What a perfect choice for everyone being it was all of their 1st cruise. From the time we boarded it was non stop friendly service. We found the kids club for the child to be great. He age 8 loved it, he always had activities to keep him busy suitable for his age group. The camp runs late for a small fee well, well worth it for both him and parents.

We attended pretty much every show the ship had to offer, with the illusionarium being the best investment on the ship. Not only an unbelievable show the magicians were great to talk to when we ran into them around the ship during the afternoons. We booked the premium seating and arrived early so (a must on both parts) we were able to sit up front, and therefore you get to be a part of the show. We also booked the show legally blonde, me not a fan but will give credit to a great performance the girls loved it. The headliners bar, which is split between comedy acts some nights and a dueling piano bar other nights was very entertaining for late night.

The "white party" which is a deck party for adults was alot of fun also, our cruise director at the time Julie really made this event, she has moved on from the Getaway. THE fireworks were also great for a cruise ship. They lasted a lot longer than I expected, the trailing RC ship's guests got a free show which they enjoyed, we saw then on the next port.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony Stateroom

On to the rooms, we booked 3 balconies. The rooms had plenty of storage laid out great plenty of room bathrooms were spacious as well as a large balcony. Absolutely no complaints, except the divider between balconies were only allowed to be open while in port (maybe a safety issue) but nothing to serious. All in all the experience was great and NCL gained a loyal customer. We booked Epic while on board to receive the $100 on board credit, and will book the Escape while on board the Epic to receive the same credit.
