We really enjoyed this cruise. It started and ended in Barcelona. My only complaint with that was that we still didn't have enough time to really explore Barcelona only spending one night there before the cruise!! Really wonderful city... If you can get the extra time off of work definitely spend a couple of nights there before and after the cruise for exploring!

Getting from Barcelona Airport to our hotel took some planning. We opted to stay in a hotel a bit off the beaten path since we prefer quiet over the noise of the city so stayed at Hotel Miramar. It was a LOVELY hotel and we were not at all disappointed in that choice. (Consider pre-paying directly through their website for a lower rate and a lovely free breakast out on their veranda.) If you end up staying in the main portion of the city, the Aerobus departs every 10 minutes and is only 5.9 euros per person for the trip. (We took this on the way back) We booked with holiday taxis and for 38 euros were met at the airport with a sign after claiming our bags and taken directly to our hotel. (That price would have covered up to 4 people, by the way).

We took a tour through Barcelona Day Tours on embarkation day so that they would pick us up from the hotel, along with our bags, and tour the city and then drop us at the port. Logistically it worked out well and we got a chance to see Park Guell and a couple of other sites on the way.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda 2B

Cabin 2B

Cabin was really lovely! Don't go by their photos - the bed is closer to inside and the couch is near the slider to the veranda. I was very worried about the bed as I have a bad back but it was perfect - as were the pillows. There wasn't much drawer space, but there was plenty of closet and over bed room and our suitcases fit nicely under the bed. The veranda had a table and 2 chairs and was perfect to hang out on. I was a bit worried about this cabin as it is directly over the theater, but I only heard music from down there on one night during the 10:30 show and other than that it never bothered us at all. The bathroom was much nicer than other ships we've been on and very well appointed.
