This was my first cruise ever and I was very apprehensive and worried that I might get bored or not enjoy 7 days at sea. However, cruising on the Allure of the Seas made for a very memorable and enjoyable trip. I would highly recommend this ship.

To begin, the check in process was very quick. The porters at the curb will take your luggage, so you don't have to worry about dragging them on the ship. Inside the terminal, the lines seemed long, but they move you through very quick. I was very impressed with the speed of checking in and walking onto the ship. You cannot access the rooms until 1:00, so keep that in mind when coming onboard. The restaurants and shops are open, so you can wonder around and pass time.

We stayed on the 8th floor and had a superior oceanview stateroom with a large balcony. The room was larger than I anticipated. It had a queen size bed, couch, flat screen tv and a desk. One downer for me was that there weren't very many tv channels. But then again, I guess you aren't expected to spend alot of time in your room. If you are a football fan...don't expect to get to watch alot of games. They only get ESPN, so you can't watch any of the games on CBS, ABC or NBC. The rooms are pretty quiet for the most part. The only outside noises we heard were our neighbors slamming their door or children running down the hall. Other than that, it is quiet and peaceful.
