My husband and I (senior citizens, VIP Members) excitedly boarded Bahamas Celebration in anticipation of yet another relaxing, care-free 2 day mini-cruise. Just like always, we were greeted by attentive officers and genuinely happy-to-serve crew members welcoming us back on board. As residents on Grand Bahama Island, we use this vessel much like an ocean ferry - to go shopping, buy and ship a car, or to keep hospital or medical appointments in Florida. We greatly enjoy the cozy ambiance of this ship, with its charming, quaint, Old World decor and furnishings. Designed as a Ro-Ro, carrying land vehicles and cargo from Florida to the Bahamas, plus 1200 passengers, the ship is clean, well maintained, and never seems to be over crowded. After grabbing delicious assorted buffet delicacies up on the pool deck, we wandered through the maze of nooks and crannies to find partially sequestered outside spaces, where its delightful to laze in serene quietness, watching the waves and setting sun.

Having made reservations so near to sailing date, our options for cabin choices were limited. However, accommodations (smaller, outside view category 8) proved , quiet and comfortable enough, even with the bunk beds. Nice-sized, clean, bathroom with plenty hot water! TV, too! But with all the popping activities happening on-board, who spends much time inside the cabin, anyway? Live musicians, comedy shows for all ages, karaoke contests, Kids and Teens Clubs! Of course, the Wynmore Casino gambling is the big thing! Well-stocked Gift Shop, with lots of sale items, spa and fitness center...A really neat and much appreciated thing for us, is to collect gifts, credits, and upgrades as frequent cruisers / VIP Members.

Having cruised throughout the Caribbean and Mediterranean regions, we find the quality of food offered in Trattoria Di Gerry, Crystal Dining Room, and Rio's to be on par with those of larger cruise lines. Variety of cuisine choices - something for every palate! Next morning, disembarkation process was on - schedule, speedy and otherwise uneventful, as we had to get to Port Everglades to board the Carnival Freedom.
