After a recent NCL cruise on the new Getaway, I can only advise the public that the ship itself is beautiful, but beware of the " who cares" attitude that is exhibited by the NCL guest relations department. On embarkation day, my luggage was left out in the rain by the crew. They only admitted to leaving one bag out but all 3 of my bags were wet. Sixteen pieces of clothing had to be sent to the laundry and cleaned and pressed . Guest relation's response ? " We have no control over the rain." I am still fighting over getting compensated for my one bag that now has a nasty mildew smell, even though their laundry was supposed to clean and dry the bag. No one at the guest relations desk apologized.
The food is mediocre and don't waste your money on Cagney's Steak House, unless you like the taste of canned flaked crabmeat, which is what is substituted for the advertised "lump crabmeat" in the "lump crab" appetizer. The steak tastes like it has somehow been tenderized with chemicals.
Dinner at Le Bistro was enjoyable. It was the only night of the cruise that I actually enjoyed dinner.
This was an outside cabin with a large window facing the front of the ship. No problems with the room. Our cabin steward was very nice.
