No it's not NCL, Celebrity, or the other more well lines that sail out of Florida. It is unique in it's own way a positive way for the most part. The ship is the most beautiful I have ever sailed on. The captain is a 'people captain' with a sense of humor that really greats you more than once and actually has a question and answer session with those on-board. Shows are top shelf. Yes it's fixed seating and you will spend some time dining (11/2 to 2 hours) at dinner not because service is slow, but in Europe it is family time and you really get to meet and talk to those at your table. Usually you are served only one course at a time and when as soon as that course is cleared away you are served the next. This may be why some complain the food is not piping hot, yet is was hot enough to eat and enjoy. You may have to look and signal your waiter if you want another cup of coffee, bread, or any other need as in Europe it is rude to interfere with a diner. The staff does not often ask 'what you did' or 'how was your day' as this too is considered prying and not acceptable in Europe. So for the most part you must approach the staff (Dining room & Cabin attendants if you have a request.

We never felt rushed and enjoyed that there was one simple announcement a day around noon by the captain. We never felt pressured to by drinks, play BINGO, or go to the Casino. A simple daily paper with the daily program and 'specials' of the day was their main promotion of activities and specials.

Back to eating...Dining room has breakfast, lunch, and dinner service every day if you want. The buffet changes often during the day and it may take a while to getting to know what is when, but most varieties are rather good. I do wish they had an omelet station at the buffet, but if that's whatyou want go to the dining room for breakfast as they have a great selection. I also wish they had turkey sausage or turkey bacon at the buffet, but all-in-all they had plenty to offer. Great breads (gotta have the chocolate chip) and pizza almost all day. If you want a special type of pizza just ask and if the toppings are availble they will make it up for you.
