This was our first river cruise. Our cabin was adequate. The shower was good. Storage was very good for a ship. Most passengers were in their 60's. Many older too. Dress was very casual. I should mention the stairs on the ship. The layout is a bit difficult for someone with knee issues. The stairs are curved with wide to narrow steps and are a bit too high to be comfortable. There is a small 4 passenger elevator that can be used. We did a LOT of walking, but there is an "easy"level of excursion offered too.
Meals were mostly good. Dinner orders were rushed due to the demands of the small kitchen. Dining staff were pleasant with the exception of the man in charge of the dining room, who was unfriendly and not helpful. Also disappointing were the staff at the front desk who seemed only to give one word answers and hand out excursion listening devices. Most disappointing was the cruise director, "Andrew". He gave information on a need-to-know basis. His nightly talks were humorless, unless you enjoy German comics. (Are there any?). He made minimal eye contact and was generally unfriendly.
The cleaning staff and bar staff were all helpful and friendly.
Nice location, close to coffee lounge
