This was our first cruise and we loved it and will do it again. We found the Norwegian Epic to be a beautiful ship with great food, service and entertainment. It also offered great excursion options for each port that we stopped at. Entertainment on board was wonderful, the complimentary and the one that we paid for. We saw Blue Man Group for free which I'm so glad we can say that we've finally seen and for free, even better! We also attended the Legends in Concert show which was great fun. Prince was our favourite - very good impersonation. We also went to the Cirque & Dinner which was amazing considering how small the venue was and yet they still manage to amaze! Food on the ship was great. There was only one restaurant that we didn't like and that was O'Sheehan's...food seemed like frozen reheated stuff, not fresh. Our favourite of the complimentary spots was Taste with the Garden Café a close second. Great options, great service. Of the Specialty restaurants that we attended, Cagney's was our favourite, followed closely by La Cucina. Again great food and service. The hostesses need to learn to smile but otherwise very good service once at the table. Our only downfalls on the ship were: (1) lack of a real pool...although there are 3 or so pools, none that you can actually swim in, more like for bobbing (very small), (2) pillows on our bed were very hard which means old to me, and (3) the lobby or atrium could have been fancier. This is a popular gathering point that covers 2 floors so I just think it could be a lot nicer.

Otherwise, I highly recommend this cruise to anyone. My husband was concerned about seasickness but was so glad that he didn't bother with any kind of medication and didn't need it. This ship is smooth and of course, we lucked out with wonderful weather which likely helped as well as the sheer size of this vessel. We were very happy with our trip.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MB

The cabin was almost perfect. Very clean, tons of storage, awesome balcony which we took full advantage of every night looking out at sea and watching the stars as well as watching the entry to the next port in the morning. The only concern would be the pillows which were flat and hard...that means old to me. Otherwise, a great room.
