At first I was a little skeptical when my boyfriend told me that he'd booked us on this cruise package with a hotel stay because of the hoops we would have to jump through before we got to the cruise, but I was pleasantly surprised by the cruise itself. The cruise is perfect for a first timer, which he was. There was plenty of food, entertainment and amusement to go around. The restaurants that you could eat in that were inclusive had wonderful selections and a good atmosphere. The Crystal room was beautiful, which was our first dinner on the ship. I loved the feeling of being on a date even though we were closely surrounded by other couples. The food was delicious and different. I tried the duck and he had the prime rib. Both were well cooked. The appetizers were different and I enjoyed trying the new things. The only food I had that night that I didn't really enjoy was the clam chowder, but I'm more of a new england clam chowder kind of girl, so that's a personal preference. The buffets at the other restaurant were really good too. We had dinner the second night at the Rio and I loved the Beef Wellington. He had the chicken, which he said he also enjoyed. My only complaint about the food that night would be the potatoes. They were dry. This restaurant for dinner had an interesting set up as everything is buffet style except for your main course. I enjoyed being able to choose how much of something I wanted. All the other food we tried was tasty and plentiful. I loved how the Italian restaurant in the middle of the ship had food almost all the time and there were salads and pasta and not just pizza to have. The calamari salad was so good!

The show we saw on the second night was fun. The comedian was funny and had the whole audience engaged. I know they had an adult version of it later in the evening, but we had other things to do.

The service of all the staff was excellent, from the concierge, to the shore excursion desk, to the wait staff and bartenders. Everyone was pleasant and helpful.
