We are veterans to cruising on several different lines but wanted a special cruise for our 40th wedding anniversary. We chose the Haven Courtyard pentouse to kick it up a notch and have some extra amenities. If you want to be treated like royalty, book the haven courtyard. From the moment you enter the terminal, Norweigan takes care of it all, no lines, personalized embarkation with an escort to your room with lunch in the haven restaurant. We had the UBP and UDP so we could eat and drink in all the restaurants and lounges, like an all inclusive resort. Cagney's was exceptional, perfect NY Strip and filet every time. Le Bistro was excellent as well, swordfish was amazing. We were not crazy about Teppanacky but the chef was entertaining and La Cucina was disappointing but, to be fair, I am Italian and my wife is a great cook and makes Italian food that is to die for, so it is hard to beat that. Haven private restaurant and lounge was exceptional as well. The bartender was scheduled to close at 10pm but he always stayed open for us so we could enjoy drinks after the dinner and the shows.

Illusionarium was very good, the food at the show was ok, no match for the pay restaurants but enjoyable. Comedy show was good but we don't care much for the Broadway type shows, everyone liked them but we just don't enjoy that stuff. I will say the Grammy experience was very good as was the dueling pianos.

Cabin was on deck 16 in the courtyard and did not disappoint, king bed was very comfortable and nothing negative at all. Read more
