Six of us sailed on this cruise from Hawaii to Sydney and from embarkation to disembarkation the whole trip was appalling. The people at the check in didn't seem to know what they were doing and gave us all the wrong cruise passes. Once on the ship we seem to have many a communication problem with the staff who on most occassions barely spoke english. Whilst they seem friendly enough, the fact the you needed to do sign language to make them understand on a cruiseship full of Australians and Americans was disgraceful.

The ship is old, tired and very unhygienic and I have photos of the mould all over my parent curtains in their balcony suite. Totally agree with some other reviews I have read re the bathrooms, which are very small and have ridiculous plastic shower curtains. With all the money this line is making you think they could afford proper shower screens. I hate to think what would happen in rough seas as you would tumble out of the shower very easily. All cabins that were not balcony suites had mini bars in a cupboard as there were no fridges in the room. Again I have photos and can't believe they couldn't afford to put a small fridge in each room. No iron facilites was also ludicrous as even P&O provide a supervised Ironing room and laundry. I spend a lot of money on my clothes and I do not let anyone but me wash and iron my clothes, so I spent 17days wearing unironed outfiits, charming!

As for the onboard entertain we had RSL club acts and people who appeared on Australian Variety shows 20 years ago. What a disgrace! This line sells it self on providng lavish productions and broadway musicals. on a 16 night cruise got two decent shows, neither of which fell into the above categories. I don't think I have ever been so bored or more glad to finish a holiday in my life.

Cabin Review

Large Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin G

Size wise this room was fine, but the style of the room is totally outdated and very unattractive. Show is small and has a nasty and germ filled shower curtain.
