Pre-cruise

This is the area that Azamara could improve on most. The booking process was easy; however, like several other folks, we were promised a shore excursion discusion if we booked at least 4 days before sailing. However, Azmara withdrew that offer (as is their option) without notifying us. Since we were aleady booked and paid, I do think we should have been either grandfathered into the promo or at least notified in advance that the offer was ending so that we could book our excursions. In the end, we didn't book any shore excursions and did our own thing including a private tour which if you have a group is a great option. Much better than the tour bus and about the same cost per person if you have 2 or 4 couples (check out the Cruise Critic Roll Call to form a group). As other cruisers have written on the community boards, best thing is to get a good TA and have them stay on top of Azamara.
