The Getaway is a brand new ship and NCL are having teething problems. The ships design centres around the activities on deck 15 with the kids splash academy, ropes course, rock climbing wall etc. When kids are in school and most cruiser are adults the ship does not work. There are very few large bars for the usual activities trivia,karaoke, bingo etc plastic Ikea chairs in the atrium do not work.
The biggest complaint from many is the large casino on 7th deck mid which allows smoking. This drift down to the 6th Bistro restaurant which has a patio that is made unusable. They are ruining a brand new ship because of this. Princess lines have no-smoking days in their casinos and they are packed on those days. NCL should take note.
The food/service is excellent in Gagney's,The Bistro, Teppanyaki,Taste and The Garden Cafe.

Mid-Ship Balcony Stateroom
Comfortable with mid sized Balcony with lounge cahir and two chairs. could add another lounge if reqd. Well designed cabin with lots of storage. Larger than normal shower , good drinking water.Comes with coffee maker
