As a regular cruiser with multiple lines we were very disappointed with the Dining and Food experience on Jade. The main dining rooms are low ceilinged, dismal and dingy compared to RCI and Celebrity which are 3 stories high with sweeping stairs etc., Menus were boring and hardly changed from day to day. After our first 3 days on board we finished up eating in the buffet or the other restuarants around the ship. The service in these was also pathetic with servers and chefs hardly able to speak English, minimal supervision or indication of where people should queue for breakfast items such as omlettes. I even reported this to the senior officer on duty on more than one occasion with no improvement for the duration of the cruise.

On a positive note the cabin was very nice, if a bit smaller than the other cruise lines we have been on.The bathroom was so small I ended up with my feet outside the toilet area when sitting on the toilet.

All in all a disappointing first time and probably last time on Norwegian !
