Sail Date: Sep 2014
Cabin: Mid-Ship Balcony Stateroom

We are a couple from the UK, mid 50's with previous cruise experience onboard Princess. We chose NCL Breakaway due it leaving from Manhattan NYC. Embarkation was a breeze, we were on the ship within 10 minutes of entering the cruise terminal. The sail away was spectacular and could only have been improved if the weather had been a bit kinder, it was slightly overcast.

Our balcony stateroom was lovely but I prefer the wardrobe layout on Princess where it is almost a dressing/hanging area separate from the bedroom. On Breakaway it was a struggle to access the wardrobe as it was so close to one side of the bed. The balcony was definitely smaller than we had experienced before but was useable.

Breakaway itself is beautiful with great styling and plenty of choice for food and drink. On the occasions we at at the Garden Cafe Buffet we did not have to queue, with the exception of cook to order items ie crepes, omelettes etc, as mentioned in earlier posts re this ship. The staff were, helpful and friendly, what more could we ask for.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BA

Lovely stateroom, smaller balcony than on previous cruises, bathroom beautiful, wardrobe too close to one side of bed making access awkward. No public areas nearby so very quiet.
