We booked this cruise because we liked the itinerary. We used Royal Caribbean's Choice Air and the flights were flawless. Of course, good weather always helps determine flights and enjoyment of the cruise and we had wonderful weather for both. The RCI representative was at baggage claim waiting for us - always a good sign. The shuttle came shortly after we got our luggage and off we went to the check in which was efficient and quick. We did encounter a wait at the terminal before boarding yet another bus to transport us to The Legend of the Seas. The Legend came into Cape Liberty from Europe and had it's annual inspection which led to the delay. After about an hour we were informed of the reason for the wait; communication always helps.

We headed straight to the Park Cafe for lunch. There were hardly any passengers there and I'm sure it was because they didn't know and weren't told about the cafe in the Solarium. Communication helps. We had eaten at the Park Cafe on the Oasis and though it's smaller on The Legend we still enjoyed the fresh salad and paninis. Our room was ready by this time and our luggage appeared about the same time. We had a panoramic oceanview room with 209 square feet. The windows were the entire exterior wall. It always provided a great view. I think this spoiled us because we really enjoyed being able to move around so comfortably.

Our cabin attendant was Garnet and he did a good job assisting us and welcoming us.

Cabin Review

Cabin panoramic ocean view

The cabin we had was originally the Card Room and the opposite side was originally the Library. Now there are eight rooms with an entire wall of windows each. The view could have been even better but the windows really needed cleaning. Not all rooms are the same so be sure to check the square feet area to make sure you get the best cabin. We also check what exactly is above us or below us. Outside the hallway was the Centrum which had lots of shows and entertainment during the day and in the evenings. Sometimes the music was loud but it didn't last past an unreasonable time in the evening. It usually ended about 10 or 11 PM. And actually some of it was lovely. Our cabin had a full size sofa bed so two more could have comfortably been in the room.
