This was our fourth cruise with Carnival and it won't be our last! We sailed out of New Orleans where we stayed at the Hyatt Place which is located right across the street from the Convention Center. The hotel was nice and with free hot breakfast, I would recommend this stay. Debarment went very smooth! We chose to park at the port because we like the convenience of walking to our car.

On this trip there are three of us. Me (46), hubby and my mom (74). Mom needs a loaner wheelchair to board the ship and to my surprise, the staff made the process very hassle free and we were on the boa Lido having lunch by noon. Our luggage and our room wasn't ready until about 3 pm though. No biggie, we want to explore the ship anyway. We stayed on the Lido deck, room 10242. Very big and very clean. Oh and very quiet :) the beds and pillows were very cumfy. The bathroom was larger then the bathrooms are the Fantasy class ships and complete with lots of shelves for all of our hygiene products. 3 closets. I did not overpack this time! But I did pack a 3 way plug in thingy and I'm glad I did because there is not many outlets.

The food: was just okay. The whole lobster that I paid extra for was delicious! But the food in general, including the steakhouse, was not worth noting. The line for the Mongolian wok was always long so unfortunately, I only ate wok once.

Room 10242 was big enough for 3, location was near the elevators and the room was clean and quiet
