Our family of four--husband--53, wife--49, daughter--15, son--12--thoroughly enjoyed our second cruise this year on Princess. We have also cruised on Disney twice and Celebrity thrice. We loved our first Princess cruise aboard the Crown over New Years. We had wanted to visit Scandinavia and Russia to determine what cities/countries we would want to return to someday on our own. The Royal Princess was our luxurious vehicle to meet that end!

We had a smooth 10 1/2 hour flight aboard SAS airlines from San Francisco to Copenhagen and arrived the night before embarkation. We stayed at the Tivoli Hotel which I would recommend since it was bright and friendly with a great bar on its top floor with views on the magnificent city. Tivoli is not in the city center but it is on the Hop On Hop Off circuit if you would like to explore the city. After our cruise, we booked an additional 4 nights at the Radisson Blu Royal (great location across from tivoli Gardens) and had ample time to explored magnificent Copenhagen.

Embarkation was very smooth and friendly and before we knew it we were aboard this majestic ship by 11:30am. As was recommended by my seasoned travel agent, we immediately visited our cabin and picked up a house phone and made dining reservations in particular for the Chef's Table and the Wine Maker's Table. We also visited the spa to purchase a limited Enclave Pass.

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MC

Our adjoining mini suites--R335 & 339--were spacious and nicely decorated in beige with blue and gold. The mini suite did not seem any smaller than the ones on the Crown and the smaller balcony was no big deal. On the balcony, my husband and I had plenty of room to lounge, often eat breakfast, and enjoy the view. The bathroom had plenty of storage area for all our toiletries, and the tub/shower combo was a nice addition. We never had trouble with water pressure or availability of hot water. The queen size bed was very comfortable and the pillows plush. Our wonderful cabin stewart Dennis was always smiling, eager to answer questions, delivered any additional items quickly, and kept our room immaculate. Our cabins R335 & 339 were conveniently mid ship forward so we often headed to the forward stairs to get to the deck we wanted and then proceeded aft.
