We were on the Sep 22 – Oct 2 cruise from Vancouver to Vancouver going down the California coast and back. We have sailed with Princess before but not in recent years.

The first stop was San Francisco, supposed to dock at 8:30am. I went ahead and booked a 11:30 Alcatraz excursion with Alcatraz Cruises (next pier over from where we docked). Well the first thing that happened was we were unable to get docked until 12:30. We have never seen anything so poorly organized as the way they got people off that ship. We lost out on our trip to Alcatraz, thanks Princess.

Santa Barbara – tendering was a nightmare. Does the cruise line not regularly maintain their tenders? They couldn’t get 2 or 3 tenders operational and we all stood on deck watching them out there trying to get these things going. It did not give us a good feeling if these tenders had been needed in an emergency. Princess – get with it. We lost out on a good part of our day in Santa Barbara, thanks again Princess.
