I'll just come out with it up front: I really enjoy cruising. I've been on lengthy iteneraries, short ones, large and small ships, mass market and high-end carriers. Typically, the few days leading up to an embarkation I gorge myself on all the information others have posted on their past experiences. I don't usually write reviews, but having just arrived home from a wonderful few days away on Enchantment, I've decided to share some observations.
Parts of Enchantment absolutely sparkle. The centrum, including R Bar, is an incredible space. Always opportunities to be seen or simply watch the fun. The grand, open air space seems slightly out of place on a ship this age and size, but passing through the centrum even during rare quiet times is a treat for the senses.
The most stunning area of the ship has to be the outdoor pool area created by decks nine and 10. I'm not sure who was responsible for the redesign of this piece of real estate when the ship was lengthened, but the graceful arcs and angles of all the design elements echo off one another in a way that subtly reminds the eye of billowing sails. In the evening, the space is illuminated and it is even more beautiful.
Very nice stateroom, in good proximity to the elevators. Plenty of storage space in the living area and bath. I experienced some ambient noise inherent with being on a lower deck, particularly on the final evening before disenbarkation. I would have no problem sailing in this stateroom on future trips.
