First time cruisers from Australia, in our 60's with no idea what to expect, we were in for a very pleasant surprise. Stayed at Hilton Venice the night before in a lovely room overlooking the Grand Canal, breakfast was excellent, discharge efficient even though very crowded. Ordered a private water taxi as we had many bags and a short time later arrived at the Silhouette. We were met on the dock by Celebrity staff who took our bags and directed us to embarkation. We were met on board where welcome drinks were served and then shown to our cabin. We were in room 1028 ( disabled room ) and were surprised by the size of the bathroom, balcony and the room itself, they were much larger than expected. The beds very comfortable and room to store bags without being in the way. The dining options were numerous, we had no trouble with crowds in all but the buffet on port day, this is understandable as all were eating at the same time before disembarking in time for tours. The speciality restaurants are very good especially Tuscan Grill which is 5 star in every way, two visits there were not enough. The oceanview cafe had a very large range of food at every meal and the fresh orange juice was amazing.

Entertainment was available everywhere, from concerts in the theatre, live band with excellent singers to games and competitions and in room movies. The swimming pools seemed to be the most popular entertainment of all and never appeared too crowded. Ports were good and not so good but all were interesting and really good shopping at some ports. Disembarkation and luggage collection went smoothly. In summarising, Celebrity Silhouette was a fabulous first cruise, with outstanding staff in every department, they are efficient and the passenger, staff ratio contributes to the exceptional service, always given with a big smile. An amazing experience. Will definitely cruise Celebrity as soon as possible.

Cabin Review

Concierge Class 3

Cabin C3

Our room 1028 was very spacious with a large balcony and bathroom. Storage was ample with drawers and hanging space. No noise at all was experienced at any time of the day or night. Room is close to the lift but not too close. A very comfortable room.
