We have just left the 8/9/2014 River Cruise from Basel to Amsterdam with Scenic Ruby. It was such a disappointing experience that I feel compelled to write about it. I note that Cruise Critic has published reviews of the same ship in the past and that the customer satisfaction ratings are 20-30% below other river boat ships. Now, I understand why.
Cabins: Our cabin was very good - a stateroom on the top floor with a balcony. The service to the room was also very good and this was one of the two best aspects of the cruise.
Route: The route, the other good aspect, went along the Rhine and the Moselle river and was very attractive and even the industrial areas were interesting.
Cabin Review
I recommend that Scenic review the staff management of this boat with a view to bringing its food, expeditions, overcrowding, attitude to caring for passengers and health care up to standard.
