This is my 4th Carnival Cruise. I rave about Carnival because of the great customer service I've always experienced with them. For some reason, the staff of this voyage left me wondering if I want to travel with Carnival the next time I decide to take a cruise.
It started during embarkation when I had to fill out a document stating that I am pregnant. I'd recently found out before the trip, so I didn't think to bring documentation. The lady that was checking us in was very nice and even walked us over to another area to fill out a form. She left us with someone else who kept walking off, saying she'll be right back, even though she was helping me first. She kept doing that, so another employee stepped in and assisted. This was after a long day of travel from an early flight to FLL and taking public transportation into Miami.
The Muster Station spiel had the rudest employees I've encountered with Carnival. The dude giving the speech was mean and the lady who was "guarding" our area kept fussing at us. We felt like we were in time out for bad behavior or something. And this was the start of our fun weekend! Our wait staff was lackluster, except for the staff we had on the final night. They actually seemed to be enjoying their jobs and made dinner fun for us. The DJ for karaoke was ruder the Embarkation Speech Guy. Note: Fire this dude! It wasn't on one occasion that I'm making this assessment from either. Karaoke is my most favorite thing to do on a cruise and he ruined it for all of us.
