We boarded @1:45 PM and as platinum whisked right thru. Companions were in the regular boarding and came shortly after. 3rd time on Splendor, all different itineraries. Our cabin was ready although at that time probably the whole ship was. The ship is well kept. John Heald donated door prizes for our CC M&G and the casino donated prizes for out slot pull. The food was typical Carnival and met my expectations for the most part. The welcome aboard show was crowded but worth seeing. We attended the music shows which were all high energy The only negative about the shows is that they often follow bingo and if you don't play bingo you'll sit upstairs. Thankfully, they have cut back on the audio and I didn't need ear plugs this cruise. The ship staff was very friendly and worked extremely hard to please each guest. The only negative I encountered (and the only one on any Carnival cruise ever) was Guest Services who ignored me standing in the platinum line while each agent (3) waited on several customers in the regular line. They need to either honor the platinum line or do away with it.Debarkatin was a breeze and we were off the ship and out of the terminal within half an hour and we didn't take priority deboarding. All in all I enjoyed the cruise and would not hesitate to sail Splendor again

Cabin Review

Cabin 0

Cabin 2319 is mid-ship deck 3 with adjacent doors to #2323. We choose this catagory because of the extra room. 220sq. ft. VS 185 standard. It was roomy, quiet and comfortable. Leaving NY we were on starboard side and could view Statue of Liberty from our cabin window. On return we saw World Trade Center.
