Our cruise on the Victory was average.
THE BAD
- As its a Carnival Fun-Ship we expected more FUN ACTIVITIES! If fell short from day one. The fast speaking cruise director (Marcelo) with an accent was a bit hard to understand, he just needs to slow down. More importantly he should have planned more. I guess being a late Sept cruise the staff was on vacation. The few staff we encountered were enthusiastic. I have never been on a cruise with so little happening. Its no wonder Carnival had one of there best years ever financially since all they did was have store sales (perfume, watches, liquor, art, photos). I pay for activites so for this reason alone I will not book the Victory again -where's the belly flop contest?????
Nice roomy interior room. Everything worked. Beds and pillows were comfy. Stateroom attendant (Payom) was good. Tube style TV & remote worked. Light switch at entrance and on bed headboard very convenient. Two blue pool towels, two robes and a room safe which uses the room key to lock it (no numbers to remember). Bathroom tile and carpet was clean. Listened to many horror stories while onboard about dirty musty smelling rooms so I was glad to have this one.Only noise was from hallway as door doesn't act as sound barrier. Room temp normal - not too cold and def not too warm. I prefer cold but cool was ok. No thermostat so no control over temperature anyway.
