I booked this cruise with my husband because the price was great and my friends and I really wanted to get away in September. The pictures of the ship on the website were beautiful and the ports of call were a mix of places I have been and one I haven't. Usually as a group we cruise on Carnival so there were some differences on MSC line. We flew in early and had booked transportation from Fort Lauderdale to Port of Miami. Everything went very smoothly. We arrived at the MSC terminal and the check in went very well. We had to wait about 20 minutes after check in and then we were allowed on the ship. The ship is beautiful and even better than the pictures. We had a wonderful lunch and enjoyed the view thru the floor to ceiling windows on the sides of the buffet.

The cabin we booked was a balcony cabin and though it was small - just a bed and small desk and two chairs on the balcony - it was very pretty. I really liked the glass shower doors which folded in when not in use. My husband and I really liked sitting out on the balcony. We met our friends later in the day and explored the ship. We had arranged ahead of time to buy books of tickets which were good for most drinks, and gelato. We had a set time and table in the Black Crab dining room and it was very nice. The food was very gourmet. We also enjoyed the shows - they were very good including an afternoon mini opera. The singers were excellent. We enjoyed all the ports of call - Jamaica, Cayman Island, Cozumel, and Little Stirrup Cay. The last port was a private island - and it is beautiful. The service was good except for room service which was spotty. Disembarkation went very smoothly once we got our bags and then we flew home. Wonderful.

Cabin Review

I really liked the balcony cabin, but the room was a smaller than I though it would be. It was a bed, small desk/dressing table and two small bed end tables with drawers. No couch. We had 1 and 1/2 closets. The bottom half of one closet was the mini bar. The middle closet was all drawers. The bathroom was roomier than others with glass shower doors that folded in when not in use. The hairdryer was a the desk/dresser drawer. There were 2 chairs and a table on the balcony.
