I read some of the reviews after I booked the cruise and was a little nervous due to the amount of negative comments on this ship. But my fears were needless because the cruise ship was wonderful. We had a balcony room and was amazed at the storage capabilities, we didn't even use all the shelves provided. But I do agree with some of the critics the bathroom left a lot to be desired. I am a petite person and the shower was small even for me. And not providing soap and shampoo was tacky on Royal Caribbean's part.

The staff was a big positive, they were helpful, friendly and polite. The staff in the buffet dining room went beyond what was expected. They refilled beverages which was unexpected and if they were out of a idem they would bring it to you. The buffet was a pleasant experience, usually I try to avoid it due to the crowds and it always seems like a free for all. This buffet was not like that, I don't know if it was because of the way it was set up. There were not as many stations but a lot of room in between the different food station. I found there were plenty of choices and the food was very good. I was only there for lunch though. We mainly ordered breakfast in the room or went to the dining room.

The dining room was a pleasant experience, our waiters were very efficient and knowledgeable of the menu. We found the food delicious and there was maybe one night out of ten that there was not really anything on the menu that appealed to us. They had the everyday items on the menu so we just ordered off that. We did not try any of the specialty restaurants like we normally do because we enjoyed the food in the dining room we really didn't see the need. I know there were several negative comments about the quality of the food but that was not our experience.
