We arrived in NYC around 11:00 and by 11:30 we were on the ship. Went to buffet for a good lunch.

Room was ready by 1 pm. We had our luggage by 4 pm. Food in buffet was pretty good. We ate mostly in Magenta dining room. Food was good and staff was friendly. We didn't have a good experience in Grand Pacific the first day (slow service and waiter not friendly). That was the only day we had a problem with the dining room. Was disappointed though, no lobster tail or shrimp cocktail. We paid for specialty rest. for one night in El Bistro. It was really good, but not worth the upcharge. Food just as good in dining room. We loved the Great Outdoors (next to buffet) on Deck 12.

We had two rough nights at sea (bad weather) and a lot of people got sick. Thank goodness we were fine.
