I so wanted to be back from my cruise writing a 5 star + review of the Carnival Liberty, but for honesty sake, I just can't. I have read so many great reviews of this ship and have had 5 prior amazing Carnival cruises in the past 3 years, but I left the Liberty very disappointed . Below is my review of the good and the bad.

Embarkation. Our group of 8 (7 adults and 1 child) left from Davenport around 9:00 AM for the port by car. At 10:00 AM Park and Cruise parking was already backed up out onto the interstate and it took over an hour for our 3 car drivers to make it back to the port after dropping the rest of our group and luggage off at the terminal. It also took about 15 minutes of waiting in the car in line to be directed to a terminal drop off spot. My advice if you park at Park and Cruise on a day with more than 2 ships in port--GET THERE EARLY.

I have traveled out of Port Canaveral many times, but this was the first time out of terminal 10. This terminal is much smaller than the main Carnival terminal 6. Embarkation was more hectic than usual and there were only 4 security lines with LONG waits as opposed to the 10 or more at terminal 6. Our group was split between Platinums and FTTF, and once we got through security (they do put you in a special line ahead of general boarding for security, but it still took a while), things went much more smoothly. We were on board by 11:45 despite the morning hassles and our rooms were ready for us. We dropped off bags and went in search of food and drink.
