This was our 2nd time on NCL, first trip to Alaska or anywhere cold as far as that goes. Since the kids are back in school and it's cold, the entire ship has a much different vibe from any other ship I've been on. There were more wheelchairs and walkers than I could count. This really is the perfect trip to take your family member who is elderly. It's not a great choice for those in the younger crowd.

The ship itself was really pretty (except for the crazy paint job on the outside of the ship itself). The stateroom and waitstaff attendants are excellent. The food in the mainlining room was wonderful. We loved our server (Frazier) and had him serve us almost every night. My husband bought the pass and enjoyed the sauna and steam room. The fitness room was really nice and with a great view of the ocean from all the treadmills. There is a free steam room inside the locker room if you don't buy the pass.

We saw whales from the ship on our first day at sea. It was pretty amazing.
