We loved Grand Turk and could see why a lot of our fellow cruisers were upset when we thought we were unable to go there. It was nice to just be able to walk off the ship and there is a beach. I had researched ahead of time and heard lots about Jack's Shack so we did end up walking down the beach and visiting there. It is toward the end of the populated area and you chairs are free but no shade so of course we paid for an umbrella. We arrived early and had our choice of beach area, put in our drink orders quickly, also for burgers when the grill was ready. Food was good, drinks were decent and the atmosphere was tropical. Bathrooms were normal flush toilets and running water which was good, small store with local goods. My daughter had fun playing with the owner's dogs in the water. I think next time I'd just stay closer to the ship as it looked fun also.

Pleasant surprise, about one and half of a regular cabin, more room in main area, larger balcony, bathroom was great, double sinks, large tub with glass enclosure, jacuzzi jets and great shower head. Loved the dressing room area off the bathroom, double closets plus extra door to shut and get ready privately. Also much storage with drawers, another closet, shelves. Bar area with glasses and fridge. Two twin beds that can be pushed together, also sofa bed and small table. We loved this cabin!! Would book another in a heartbeat.

The food was quite tasty although it seems after a few days it to be the same thing, just cooked a little different, one night they offered a mushroom pasta that my server raved about, so I preordered that and was so happy I did as it was amazing, Michelle, the hostess in the anytime dining room was very good and always watching out for us.Carnival cruiseline Liberty 08/01/14 8 day cruise
