Just back from the Regal Princess, lovely ship but wish it had a promenade deck. We arrived in Barcelona airport at 1pm approx. and our luggage came off almost immediately, this was collected by Princess at approx. 1.15pm and we set off for the ship, dropped hand luggage off in the stateroom, lunch in Alfredo's, had a walk round the ship, went back to unpack, no luggage 4pm. Another stroll round the ship and sorted out where we were dining, back to unpack, no luggage 5pm. Muster at 6pm so at 5.30 we went to the pursers desk to be told, (this is a big ship, if every person has one back that is a lot of bags to unload) more staff should be put to this task. Muster at 6pm back to unpack, arrived at 6.30pm

Dining was supposed to be fixed however when we got there we were told we were on anytime, rather than argue we had our meal and then questioned this, we were told that fixed dining was overbooked however we could have our fixed table in the anytime dining restaurant, fine, what they did not tell us was that the kitchen could not cope with the number and for the first three days our main course was very late. They did seem to improve after that and did apologise on a further day saying problems in the kitchen. Must say that the waiters were excellent, and did there best in a difficult situation.

The chargeable shuttle service was a surprise as we had not been warned upfront about this and saw comments on cruise critic about charges. $25 each in Toulon, Livorno we had no choice, charges for Mykonos as we were a long way from town, Civitivechia we walked as we have been before and knew the way, Venice $29 we had a good map and walked it and saw an area we would not have seen had we used the water taxi.
