Well I have to report that this cruise was very disappointing. Not considering the cruise port itself, I think that will improve greatly when the new terminal is completed. Our cabin was clean and our Steward (Stanley) did a great job. We had an old tube type TV that cut off the sides of some of the programming.
We found the public bathrooms to be the biggest disappointment. On three occasions the ladies room near the entrance to the main dining room on deck 5 were either completely closed or most of the stalls were out of order. My girlfriend reported that there was a line of 11 women waiting for 3 useable stalls on one occasion. I personally found the mens room at the exit of the theater to be completely trashed with a pile of toilet paper that was almost a high as the toilet itself. I went there because my girlfriend told me about the "all push button" features of the ladies room on the opposite side. Well I pushed the entry button, the door slid open, I stepped in and there was a button that said "lock" I pushed that and there was a loud click that made me think the door locked. Then I looked around and saw the mess. I decided I would leave. Then the door slid open and there was another guy entering even though the door was "locked". I think he thought I made the mess but I assured him I did not and left.
The main pool area service was terrible. There were empty drink containers and glasses all over the place and it seemed the pool folks would only come around to clean up about once an hour. I was never able to order a drink from my lounge chair and had to stand in a long line to get our drinks. This happened on three separate days. The best I can say is the crew had a bad attitude.
Nice room. Very private balcony. Great steward service with a $40 cash tip.
