Pride of America Review

Just Awful. Time for NCL to pull this cruise.

I just completed 7 days on what I thought was an awful cruise. How in the world does this ship get good reviews?

My first impressions were of the ship itself. The ship is in major need of an overhaul. NCL has done a very poor job maintaining the ship. Everywhere, there was worn carpet, broken fixtures, scratches and dents, and rust all over the exterior railings.

Second was the service. I really hate to say this, but this all American crew does not fare well on a cruise. Never have I experienced so many rude, lazy and generally unhappy crew members. Even the Customer Service officers were unresponsive, expressionless and sometimes downright rude. On 3 of the 7 nights, dinner in the main dining room was a 2 hour event. No kidding, it was a 30 minute wait between courses. and to make it worse, the dining room staff didn't seem to care. We made our displeasure known to the Head Waiter who, like the others, just seemed to dismiss our complaint.

Staterooms are tiny and uncomfortable. Bed is rock hard.
