I recently had the pleasure of joining my daughter & grandson (for his 5th birthday) for a 4 night cruise on the Disney Dream. This was their 2nd Disney cruise & my first. I went on my first cruise last year through Carnival. This Disney cruise was their Halloween On The High Seas event. The Disney Dream is beautiful, immaculate, tastefully designed and our "inside" stateroom was very roomy & comfortable compared to Carnival's rooms. The queen size bed, bedding & pillows were SO comfortable! Felt like sleeping on a cloud.
We decided to stay on the ship when it docked in Nassau. We had both been there before & wanted to take advantage of less people on the ship, since most of the time it was PACKED! There are nice, quiet areas to "get away" after taking the kids to the kids club, which they love & tons of stuff for them to do. My daughter & I purchased a one day spa pass for $17.00 which was nice. It included a steam room, sauna, dry heat room, 4 different "mood" showers, two 2-people hot tubs, and tiled heated lounge chairs which were very relaxing & comfortable. They limit the passes to 40 people throughout the 4 day cruise. The adult pool isn't very big & it's hard to find a chair if you're not there early. But there are several available chairs on the next deck up.
The shows were incredible! We saw "The Golden Mickeys", "Believe" and a fantastic, hysterical ventriloquist, Taylor Mason. We laughed so hard we were crying. He did a show for adults in one of the lounges and one for the kids in the theatre. Also loved the Aqua Duck water ride!
Fairly roomy (for a cruise stateroom) & the bed, bedding & pillows were extremely comfortable. We had a queen size bed and a sofa. There are 2 outlets by the desk and one on each side of the bed, but the one in the bathroom is for shavers only. Loved the "real time" video porthole. Mid-ship, never felt movement and was quiet.
