This was my second time on the Pearl and I am sorry to say that this was the last. The ship itself is in serious need of scrapping in my opinion. She is showing her age despite the "refurbishment" a few years ago. The design of the ship is poor. The lack of toilet facilities in the main areas is a real problem and annoyance. There were all sorts of things that were out of order and the toilet smells in public areas was just horrendous. The food was mediocre at best. I would steer clear of the Plantation Buffet at all costs!

There are problems with the floors on deck 8 leading two and from the Oasis area. I had a fall when the floor was uneven and seemed to have a hole in it. I was pretty convinced the only thing holding it together was the carpet!

We too found ourselves bored on the cruise. The entertainment was lacking and being in the colder months and not being able to use the outdoor areas much was an issue. Not the ships fault, but there needs to be a broader range of inside entertainment and not boring seminars.

Cabin Review

Cabin HH

Spacious in size, but the shower temp was a real problem. Was either far too hot or too cold. Found it very difficult to get that happy medium. Was also very noisy being next to the gangway when using the tenders. Was also noisy at night with all the banging and clanging the ship was making.
