This was our 33rd cruise and as usual with Princess, it was a superb experience. Embarkation was quick and easy, even for our friends who were not Platinum members. We got onboard around noon and were able to go right to the cabin - no wait here. After taking care of nature's call. we went to the buffet. We expected crowded conditions, but were pleasantly surprised. There were four buffet islands, and the people traffic was nicely managed. No great line-up's. What we particularly appreciated was that we did not have to fight for the drinks - the waiters will take your drink order and bring it right to your table. Very fast and efficient.

The ship itself is by today's standard on the older side, but you wouldn't notice it. It is very well maintained and never gives you that 'crowded' feeling. The staff is well trained, very friendly and never intrusive. If you want service, there is always someone there for you, but we were never hassled for drinks, or any other 'nickel and dime' items. Very pleasant (when compared to some other cruiselines!!).

We did 'anytime dining' and were lucky the first night, seated at a table with an excellent waiter/asst. waiter, and so we stayed with them for the entire cruise. The food was absolutely above standard. Especially the beef was great no matter what dish it came in. And the gold star goes to the French onion soup! It was so good that we had to (special) order it for another night.

Cabin Review

Cabin I

average inside cabin. Nice, clean and lots of storage space. Sound insulation could be better (if you have a loud snorer next door, you can hear it). Flat screen TV with lots of channels. Worked flawlessly.
