We were aboard the September 1st sailing of Vision of the Seas on her Palm Tree's and Pink Sands Itinerary and had a wonderful cruise. Embarkation was very organized and we were aboard the ship in a few minutes. The ship is very elegant and well maintained. From the moment we boarded we were impressed with the new color carpeting in the lobby areas as well as the staircases, a very nice touch for this classic RCI ship! This feeling carried throughout the entire ship. The crew were constantly polishing and cleaning which gave the ship a fresh, brand new look.

We loved our Panoramic Ocean view Stateroom 8047! Which was spacious for the 3 of us. Our stateroom attendant Jose was always friendly, greeting us with a smile. The floor to ceiling windows were awesome! Laying in bed, the stars, moonbeam and ocean were in full view. I cannot praise this stateroom category enough, they are a great value and well worth paying a little extra from the interior pricing and if you are economizing from the balcony category. There was noises from deck 9, pool area, so if you are a late sleeper or take frequent afternoon naps you should request deck 7 instead. The bathroom was large and had nice tile work, round top bowl basin and more than adequate storage space for toiletries. There were also 3 well designed closets. Flat screen t.v. and a full size couch.

Dining: We opted for the early sitting and had the best waiter in the world; Francisco! He was always friendly and eager to assist and if we wanted to have two entree's instead of one or 3 appetizers it was never frowned upon. We were very pleased with the variety and preparation of the food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For breakfast and lunch, the hostess remembered from day one that we preferred a table for 3, so we didn't have to ask, she remembered somehow from 2000+ passengers! The made to order salad buffet was a nice touch for lunch. The Aquarius Dining Room is very attractive.

Cabin Review

Cabin Panoramic Oceanview

An excellent value for someone wanting a balcony but unable to afford it. Very spacious for the 3 of us, brand new, floor to ceiling windows, full size couch, flat screen t.v. 3 large closets. The bathroom was large with nice tile work, new bowl top sink and tons of storage space for toiletries. The only problem we noticed with deck 8 is there is some noise from deck 9, pool area above so if you are a late sleeper or take afternoon naps you should select a stateroom on deck 7.
