Embarkation: This was very efficient and smooth. The only complaint I heard from people was that they didn't know you could board the ship as early as you can. When looking at MSC's website they indicate that you can board at 4:00 PM. I personally called the cruise line being I had to check out of my hotel at 11:00 AM. The lady told me that we could board as early as 1:00 PM and enjoy lunch on the ship. Which is what we chose to do. I heard from some people on the ship (table mates) that it was very slow later in the afternoon because several people thought you had to wait until 4:00PM to board.
Public Rooms: Gorgeous ship! Several places around the ship for photo opportunities.
Cabin: This was our area of disappointment. When choosing our cabin six months before our cruise I saw that the picture for categories B1 and B2 was exactly the same. I didn't actually know which of the two categories I had chosen. But, being the pictures were the same I assumed the difference in the prices was probably due to where the cabin was located on the ship.
When choosing your cabin you will have the typical choices of interior, exterior, balcony, junior suite, etc. When looking at the pictures on MSC website you will notice the same picture for both category B1 and B2. Being their website showed the same picture we assumed the only difference between the two was were the room was located on the floor or which floor it was on. Please note that the picture shown on MSC's website is the B2 room. B1 category will not have a couch as shown on the website.
