Please note that this review is completely on line with no hidden plans or agendas. I have been cruising since 1972, I worked as a Cruise Director for 12 yrs aboard many ships starting in 1972 including all Home Lines, Sitmar Lines, Royal Caribbean Intl, Costa Cruises, and many others. I spend close to 17 weeks a year doing what I love to do... cruisin'! Straight up.... here goes...

Arrived at Port of Miami around 1:15pm and found the terminal still filled to the max with guests still coming off and newbies waiting to board AND check-in. At this time of day, the process should have been already in full gear but it was clear that the ship was either delayed for clearance by Customs and/or the terminal staff was over-whelmed with check-ins. BOTH! Seems that when the ship is delayed for disembarkation, it will cause havoc checking-in. I was lucky I found staff in the terminal who knew me and quickly got me checked in and cleared and up for boarding.

One thing mscCruises still does for immediate impression, they have their staff meet & greet guests as they board. This was done by all cruise lines years ago but most stopped this welcome. I personally liked it. It immediately makes you feel the excitement of 'a' cruise. Being then pointed in the right direction made things easy at this point.
