Just returned from this Carnival cruise. We hadn't cruised Carnival in seven or eight years. We had been on the Conquest shortly after its launch in 2012. Carnival seemed to attract the younger crowd years ago and their programs were setup accordingly. We are in our early sixties and have cruised many times on many cruise lines and steered away from Carnival because of the youth orientation. This venture back to Carnival was a very pleasant surprise. They did a great job. It was well run by the cruise director (Mike) and the service was outstanding. That includes the service in the dining rooms, staterooms and elsewhere. The ship had been recently renovated and was in beautiful condition. The entertainment was first rate and one show, in particular, The Brits, had computer technology interfaced with the performers and was absolutely cutting edge. Lots of money went into staging that program and the others. The food was first rate in the main dining rooms and the buffet on the Lido Deck. The burger joint served delicious burgers and fries. I would recommend this cruise to anyone of any age.
The room was well located-technically aft but very close to the center of the ship. It was quiet and fully functional.
