This was our third time with this itinerary, the fourth time on the Gem, the eighth time on NCL and the tenth cruise overall. So I'll tell you now we had a great time. We (My wife and I both in our upper 50's) always do. Everything isn't always perfect, but we always have a great time.

This cruise had a couple firsts for us. It was the first time we stayed on the ship in a port. Both Cape Canaveral and Nassau we stayed on board. The other first was because the ship was quiet in port, we opted to find loungers by the pool to relax and read. We've always avoided the crowd in the past and found loungers on an upper level. Also it was only the second time I went in a ships pool. And a first for my wife. We did a repeat on Nassau Day and it was even quieter.

After breakfast the sea day after Nassau (around 10:00am) we noticed there were plenty of lounger on the pool deck. So we got changed and for the third time enjoyed the pool area. And again the next day. It was quite fun. Though on sea days the pool itself was a little too crowded for us.
