We left for our 8 day cruise from Port Canaveral on August 22 - August 30 - we stayed at the Radisson as usual - the Radisson has been our go to hotel for Port Canaveral - the shuttle service is great - we live in Martinez, GA - near Augusta so we have about a 7 hour drive - always start our holiday a day early so we won't be tired. Port Canaveral embarkation is such a breeze - wish all ports were so organized. We were on the Liberty by 11:15 or so - in fact (other than the wedding party) we were on first. Pick our food vendor trip - no lines. We toured the ship as usual and took pictures. Cory was the CD and he was great and made everyone feel welcomed - his assistant Charlette was also very wonderful. The band Music Man did a great job - location was not the best - next to casino bar - small area - but they played request - MDR waiters Sunita, Rus and Samson did a great job - always smiling - Room stewards Tedhi, Puspi and Choe were pleasant and made a point to speak to us daily - the Diamond get together was a very pleasant experience - talking to the big bosses was very interesting and Anna at the Alchemy Bar was interesting to watch her performance. We did try the laundry service - just socks and underwear - won't happen again - it seemed like they put starch in out laundry - socks were sort of stiff. Debarkation was also very smooth. We got back to Port Canaveral on Saturday and boarded the Sunshine on Sunday - more on that in another review.
