In the last three years, my wife and I have been on three cruises, on three different cruise lines. In 2012, we sailed on the Carnival Pride out of Baltimore; in 2013 we sailed on the Disney Dream out of Port Canaveral; and in August of 2014, we sailed on Royal Caribbean’s Enchantment of the Seas- also out of Port Canaveral.

Of the three cruises, Disney was definitely the best! It had great entertainment, great food and an incredibly friendly staff. The dream also had larger bathrooms (with small tubs) and a much nicer decor than either of the other two ships. The Pride had a Mediterranean theme with lots of artwork throughout the ship that depicted naked women – meaning teenage boys really liked it. The Dream had a fresh feeing Art-Deco look and feel throughout the ship. Enchantment of the Seas décor was tired and dated – especially in the cabin areas.

The food on this cruise was not very good. The only meals we enjoyed were the ones that cost extra. There were times in the afternoon when ALL of the food stations and cafés were closed so we could not find food to eat before our 8:30pm meal time. Entertainment was scheduled so we could not see most of it as it interfered with our meal time. When checking in, we were not given out cabin number by the check in clerk. We had to wait in line at Guest Relations to get it once we were on board. Coffee was so strong I thought it would dissolve the enamel off of my teeth. Even the Starbuck coffee was supper strong.
