We just took our 13th cruise (11th with Royal Caribbean) and sadly we wasted time reading reviews on how bad everything had gotten. We found nothing of the sort. The embarkation was a little slow for Crown and Anchor guests because of only having one scanning place open. Our room attendant was fantastic and was stealth on getting in and fixing our room before we would get back from breakfast, swimming, etc. He must have been in there at least 3 times a day. Note: ice in your stateroom is now by request. Once we requested, we never had to ask again. We also asked for only diet drinks in the fridge and was supplied with such the whole week. We didn't wait in any lines for drinks as said in previous posts. The food was fantastic, probably the best we've had on ANY ship and the wait staff was superior. We did all of our evening meals in the dining room while lunch and breakfast was in the Windjammer. We sat at Bolero's most times for drinks and there did not seem to be any confusion by the bartenders on whether or not the drink packages allowed for whatever. We did witness fellow cruisers trying to get by with ordering more than one drink at a time (having purchased the drink packages) and the staff was pretty much on top of that. People seemed to think they could cheat the system, but it didn't really look like they got away with it from where we sat. We liked how they now have all the information embedded into your sea pass card and there was no questions on what you were entitled to, if anything. When leaving the ship, they seem to have a lot better system and we were at our car by 8:00 am and on our way.

Cabin K

Our room was very close to the elevators which was nice. The coffee tables have been removed for safety reasons which is probably good. We always had to move ours out of the way so as not to kill ourselves in the dark. We certainly had one of the best room stewards, Vernon Friday.
