We took our entire family on this cruise. Four were first-time cruisers, and they loved it. The cabins were adequate; employees, for the most part, were amiable and helpful (Our room steward did not wish to go above and beyond. I had to practically beg for extra hangers, and he was not happy when I asked him to make up the couch so our grandson could spend the night.); food in the buffet was good; the Guy F. hamburgers were delicious! and the dining room food was quite lovely. The wait staff in the dining room were attentive. Entertainment was poor in my opinion, but I'm not easily impressed. One night was "British Night." Obviously the music would appeal to those of us who are older, but the show had so much animation that it was childish and boring. The cruise director seemed like a nice chap, but that didn't help the entertainment. The ports on this cruise are what one makes of them--one can explore to one's heart's content or one can take a shore excursion. Our adult children enjoyed the snorkeling and horse ride in the sea. Some of them took the Everglades excursion on our return to the Miami Port. My favorite part of the cruise was having an aft stateroom. I enjoyed watching the wake, and from the aft, one has a great view. All in all, if one is new to cruising, this is a good venture.
